Why men like butt
Science Has Finally Figured Out Why Men Like Big Butts
Butts are definitely having a moment, and now science might actually have an answer to why we're all about that bass.
Researchers at Bilkent University in Turkey showed men silhouettes of women's bodies and asked to rank them in order of preference. They initiate that the men were most attracted to women whose spines curved exactly 45 degrees above the top of their butts, but that the men were actually more attracted to the spinal curve — known as vertebral wedging — than the butts themselves. Why? The researchers say that having "extra mass around the buttocks" enhanced the appearance of the curvature.
Dr. David Lewis, one of the researchers on the study, told Daily Mail that vertebral wedging developed out of necessity. "[It] would own enabled ancestral women to shift their center of mass back over their hips during pregnancy, a time during which there is a dramatic forward shift of their center of mass," he said. "This benefit is critical: Without being qualified to do this, women would experi
Why Are Some Guys So Obsessed with Butt Play?

The butt is definitely having a moment: Nicki Minaj exists, yoga pants are a thing, and women everywhere are squatting their way to more shapely backsides.
But of course, the male obsession with the female butt is nothing new. In fact, it's primal, says David Buss, Ph.D., a psychology professor at the University of Texas at Austin.
Men are drawn to a woman's heinie for the same reason they're attracted to breasts, hips, and a minute waist: because those traits would have been indicators of fertility to your ancient ancestors, says Buss.
Man evolved to search out women who could procreate, says Buss. If a woman has a full tush, that's a signal to your primitive brain that she's probably carrying enough fat to become pregnant, he says. And if her bum is perky and spherical , that means she's probably young—which, in caveman days, would make her a good candidate to move the cavechild.
And then there's the dirty factor.

When Playboy magazine was in its heyday, women’s breasts reigned supreme. But over the past several decades it appears that the media generally has been paying increasingly greater attention to the lower region of women’s two dominant anatomical protrusions. So might it be possible that more men actually prefer to ogle a woman’s buns than her bust?
The limited quantitative research undertaken on the subject hardly permits a definitive answer. But without question, the female derriere has captured men’s lascivious attention since the moment of the Greeks and ancient Chinese dynasties. And if female buttocks rank behind men’s similarly erotic interest in breasts, they’re certainly not a distant second either.
