All results presented in this data are weighted so that they are representative of the total population of adults 15+ and children aged 0–14 years (or a smaller subset where specified).
The dataset includes unadjusted prevalence figures for most indicators, estimated number of people, and 95% confidence intervals.
Indicators are provided by age collective, gender, ethnic group (total response ethnicity, ie where people who belong to more than one ethnic group are counted once in each of the ethnic groups they identify with) and neighbourhood deprivation. Quintile 1 represents the 20 percent of areas with the lowest levels of deprivation and quintile 5 represents the 20 percent of areas with the highest level of deprivation.

Census information has revealed one in 20 Novel Zealand adults recognize as LGBTIQ+ - or part of rainbow communities.
For the first time ever the Census calm data about gender, sexual identity and variations of sex characteristics.
The LGBTIQ+ or rainbow population includes people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual person, transgender, non-binary, intersex, or have other "minority genders or sexual identities", StatsNZ said.
Data released on Thursday revealed the population's size in was , - or per cent of adults.
Wellington had the highest proportion of people belonging to the rainbow communities, at per cent.
That was followed by Dunedin at per cent, Christchurch at 6 per cent, Palmerston North at per cent and Hamilton at per cent, with Auckland sitting at per cent.
Rainbow communities had been lobbying for decades to have this knowledge recorded and to see themselves reflected in the statistics, said StatsNZ primary analyst Adele Quinn.
