Disney, already embroiled in controversy in the US after criticizing a Florida law that bans school lessons on sexual orientation, has rebuffed requests by Saudi Arabia to remove LGBTQ references from the new film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Homosexual relations are a capital offense in Saudi Arabia. Nawaf Alsabhan, Saudi Arabia’s general supervisor of cinema classification, said on Monday that the cuts amount to “barely 12 seconds” in which America Chavez, a lesbian character played by the actor Xochitl Gomez, refers to her “two moms.” The Doctor Strange sequel is slated for unleash around the world next week. “It’s just her talking about her moms because she has two moms,” Alsabhan said. “And being in the Middle East, it’s very tough to pass something favor this.” But Alsabhan denied reports that the clip has been banned. “It will never be banned,” he told Agence France-Presse. “There’s no reason to exclude the film. It’s a simple edit. &#; So far they have refused. But we

Doctor Strange, according to the comics, would be the MCU explore that about him in the movies? Probably not. If so (I HOPE) it will be by lines, references and jokes. Has the MCU ever brought that up? YES, in the prelude comics and canon prelude novels.

Facts:

  • He married Clea, an alien which original true build is NOT human like.
  • He liked orgies and in some pages, there are other men in them too. (Just…read the comics. It’s spread all over the comics.)
  • Him and Deadpool very likely slept together (vide meta I wrote, just search Deadpool in my search box) (Strange shows great intimacy towards Wade, doing things such as hugging and diagnosing breast cancer /because he took a closer look if you know what i represent , and not as a doctor/ things Strange doesn’t do to other random characters.)
  • In Infinity War there’s the wink. It sounds silly, but Hollywood putting a wink and a smirk between two guys IS A Giant ADVANCEMENT and be sure there’s Easter eggs and subjective pointers towards Strange’s sexuality.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the most anticipated venture of the franchise. The ticket sales are breaking records and the fans are all hyped up to witness Marvel’s foray into the multiverse. However, a few regions are keeping the film off the theaters. The production has been banned in the markets of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. And that is because the film’s content represents discussions surrounding an LGBTQ character.

America Chavez, a traits portrayed in the production by Xochitl Gomez, is openly gay in the comics. Owing to Marvel’s acknowledgment of inclusivity and diversity, the character would be represented as the same in the clip. And that accounts for discussion and probably sequences that will show the character as gay in the movie. Since the aforementioned nations have media laws against airing such content, the film is facing a ban in those markets.

However, the studio has decided to rise firm and adhere to its values. According to The Guardian,
