Can a practicing homosexual go to heaven

Is it biblically allowable for a pastor to be gay?

Answer

Some people consider themselves gaybecause they are attracted to members of their own gender, even if they do not perform on those attractions. Their situation is like that of a married person who is attracted to someone besides his or her spouse, but who refuses to act on those adulterous desires. So it may be biblically allowable for a pastor to consider himself gay—that is, he struggles with homosexual attraction—if he is committed to sexual purity, never acts on those desires, and never encourages anyone else to act so (see Romans ). For the purposes of this article, we will define gayas “practicing a homosexual lifestyle.”

This question of whether the Bible warrants a gay pastor was unheard of until the last couple of decades. There was never any question within the churchabout whether a practicing lgbtq+ could or should pastor a church. You’ve asked a very essential question—and a very difficult one.

And you are exactly right: there is only one sin that is unforgivable. That is the sin of not believing and not receiving Jesus Christ into your life.

A gay or homosexual person can acceptChrist, just as an alcoholic, a drug addict, or a mass-murderer can accept Christ. Jesus’ offer of salvation is open to everyone.

Your scrutinize is whether someone can acceptChrist, not change his lifestyle, and still depart to heaven. The Bible teaches that if someone has truly accepted Christ into his life, nothing can keep him out of Heaven. In John , Christ says of Christians,

“I give them permanent life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand.”

So, Lucy the real question, I believe, is whether

Through Christ, we have a association with the living God. We contain the hope of eternal life, and we can distribute the offer of eternal life with others.

Our response to a friend who comes out of the closet as gay or transsexual differs depending on whether the comrade claims to be a Christian. First, we’ll consider what the Bible would have us perform when an unbelievingfriend comes out:

We should not cut ties with unsaved friends who come out of the closet as gay. Jesus fre

26For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions.
